Usually, it takes anywhere from 3–14 business days from the time we receive your payment for you to receive your Elevation Certificate. We are often able to beat our estimated completion time. But if we can’t meet our deadline, we’ll call to let you know, explain the situation, and work with you throughout the process.
If you need an Elevation Certificate returned to you faster than our usual turnaround time, our rush service can help. When you submit your order, be sure to note that you request the rush service, along with the turnaround time you need. The fee to provide a rush order is based on your property type, location, and requested turnaround time. We’ll let you know what it is when we return your quote.
There are many factors that can impact the turnaround time for your Elevation Certificate, some of which might not be so obvious: whether your property is in a rural, metropolitan, or commercial location; the accuracy of the legal property description submitted with the order; the surveyor’s workload; the ease with which the surveyor can find the elevation benchmarks; the weather, property conditions and, yes, even local wildlife. We once had an Elevation Certificate delayed because there was a black bear on the property. And this was in urban New Jersey!
