Getting started – Create an Account

Anyone can view www.floodinfo.com for information regarding services offered by CoreLogic. But to order flood determinations, you must create an account on the website.

To create an account, go to www.floodinfo.com. On the right side of the home page, you will see Register link.

The Registration page will be displayed. Complete the information requested on the page.

Data fields with an asterisk (*) are required to complete the registration. Required fields include:

  • Username – This should be a user name that is easily remembered. You may use your email address as your user name. If the Username you enter has already been taken, you will be returned a blank registration screen upon clicking “Send Registration”.  Please re-enter all fields and submit a different user name.  Once you have selected a user name that has not already been taken, you will be taken to the following screen, and will see your name under LOGIN.
  • Email – Please enter a valid email address. This email address will be used for all correspondence, including the completed flood zone determination. An email address can only be tied to one floodinfo.com account. If the email address you enter is tied to another floodinfo.com account, you will be returned a blank registration screen upon clicking “Send Registration”.  Please check with other members of your office to make sure the email address you are entering hasn’t already been used to create an account on www.floodinfo.com. Alternatively, you may set up a new account using a different email address.

Once all required fields are completed, click the Send Registration button at the bottom of the page.

NOTE
You will receive an email from CoreLogic entitled “Account details for First Name Last Name at CoreLogic® Flood Services” confirming your registration. This email will include your username and password. You do not need this email to place an order – it only confirms your account registration.

Logging In

To login in to www.floodinfo.com, enter your Username and Password and click Login.

It’s easy to tell if you are logged in – look for your Username just below the Login bar on the right side of the page.

Order a Determination

Once you login, it’s easy to order a flood determination. If you are not already on the Order a Determination page, you can navigate to www.floodinfo.com/order or use the menu bar at the top of the page:

Ordering a Basic Flood Zone Determination

The price for a Basic Flood Zone Determination is $6.00. To order, select Flood Zone Determinations on this page (red link in the middle of the page), and then select Basic Flood Zone Determination by clicking on the link.

Enter property & owner information

Enter the property information for the flood zone determination. Please enter the State as the two letter abbreviation. Your order will result in an error if you enter the full name of the State or enter an incorrect abbreviation. Click Add to Cart when all information has been entered.

Note: All fields are required. Information provided should be as complete and accurate as possible. Incomplete or invalid information may result in the delay of your order. Address entry guidelines are located here.

In the event information is entered incorrectly, upon payment, your order will go into Error status and you will receive an email notifying you of the status change. Please contact CoreLogic using the Contact Us form, and staff members will correct the error.

Basic Determination with PRP Extension data, if applicable

In addition to providing the current flood zone determination, CoreLogic’s automated process will identify properties for which prior flood map information may be needed to determine eligibility for the NFIP’s PRP Extension.  If provided, the prior flood data will be located in the comments section of the Flood Zone Determination. If the current map date is prior to October 1, 2008, or the property is not in a SFHA, only the current determination information will be provided.

For more information on eligibility criteria for the PRP Extension, please refer to the NFIP: http://www.floodsmart.gov/floodsmart/pdfs/prp/Community_FAQs.pdf

In summary, the NFIP is offering temporary relief from standard flood insurance rates for property owners who moved into a SFHA as part of a ‘recent’ map change. This program allows the property owner to purchase a PRP policy at the time of their next renewal and they are eligible for the PRP policy for 2 years. There are specific rules that apply and a property is not automatically eligible based solely on the map revision and current zone.

Note:  This is not “Grandfathering” map information.

Ordering Grandfather Information

The price for Grandfather Information is $20.00. You should only order a Grandfather Request if:

  • Your CoreLogic Flood Zone Determination indicates that the property is located in a Special Flood Hazard Area (zones beginning with A or V).
  • You have a construction date or continuous coverage date.  Select the Grandfather Assistance product

Select Grandfathering Assistance on this page (red link in the middle of the page), and then select Grandfathering Request by clicking on the link.

Enter property & owner information

In addition to the property address and owner name, you will need to provide the construction date AND continuous coverage date. All fields in this section are required.  If you do not have a continuous coverage date, please enter N/A.  The date provided will determine the map used to provide the grandfathering map data.

Please refer to the following FEMA links for information on Grandfather Rules and to determine the suitability of this product for you situation:
